1. What ComplyEasy is
ComplyEasy is a web-based compliance readiness platform. It helps teams evaluate their internal policies against frameworks such as GDPR, NDPA, PIPEDA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001, using automated document analysis powered by third-party AI models. The core workflows include uploading policy documents, generating a gap analysis, and tracking findings to resolution.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to create an account.
- You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must give us accurate information (name, email, billing details) and keep it up to date.
- One person per account. Sharing a login between multiple users is not permitted on paid plans.
3. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
ComplyEasy offers the following plans:
- Free — $0, limited framework and analysis quota.
- Starter — $49/month (or $470/year, ~20% off).
- Pro — $149/month (or $1,430/year, ~20% off).
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard’s “Manage subscription” link — there are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. Payment is handled by Stripe; we don’t store your card number.
Plan changes (upgrades and downgrades) take effect at the start of the next billing period, except upgrades from Free, which take effect immediately. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for what happens to your data after cancellation.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use ComplyEasy to:
- Upload content you don’t have the right to process.
- Upload malware, exploit code, or documents designed to trigger prompt-injection against the AI provider.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the service without our written permission.
- Scrape, rate-abuse, or otherwise interfere with the service’s availability for other users.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Use ComplyEasy in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Automated safety rate limits (e.g. one analysis per minute) apply to all plans.
5. Ownership of your content
You retain full ownership of the policy documents you upload. You grant ComplyEasy a limited licence to store those documents, extract their text, transmit that text to our AI subprocessor, and generate analysis output — solely to provide the service to you.
The AI-generated analysis output is yours to use however you like: internally, with auditors, in board reports, or as a starting point for your own compliance work.
6. AI analysis disclaimer
Important: ComplyEasy’s AI-generated compliance analysis is a tool to assist your compliance work. It is not legal advice, it is not a substitute for a qualified auditor, privacy counsel, or DPO, and it is not a guarantee that you will pass an audit or comply with any regulation. Large language models can miss findings and can produce plausible-sounding statements that are wrong. Always have material compliance decisions reviewed by a qualified human.
Findings, scores, and recommendations are generated based on the text you provide and the model’s general knowledge of the chosen framework. They may be incomplete, outdated relative to recent regulatory changes, or inapplicable to your specific circumstances.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep ComplyEasy available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance and outages caused by third-party providers (Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare, the AI gateway) may temporarily affect access. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime SLA.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- ComplyEasy is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or regulatory penalties.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid ComplyEasy in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination for cause, we may retain data for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations or to investigate the breach; otherwise, data is deleted per our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to signed-up users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use ComplyEasy after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ComplyEasy is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If a dispute can’t be resolved by email to support@complyeasy.net, the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive competence, unless your local consumer law gives you a right you cannot waive.
